For sale is a nice 1925-D Buffalo Nickel graded and certified by ICG as VG8. Normally Buffalos any less than XF aren't really sent out to be graded and certified, but the significance of this one is that 1925-D is one of the rare key dates of Buffalos, so these dates command a high value in any condition. The label on the holder states "Damaged" but I looked closely at the coin with a really good loupe and for the life of me I cannot see the damage they refer to other than possibly a scratch on the reverse, but it really isn't one different from others you see on coins this old in this grade. Keep in mind when companies like ICG grade and certify coins they do so under highly intensified lenses so they see things that cannot be seen with the naked eye. Don't take my word for it. If you're interested in the coin I suggest you check it out closely yourself and see if you can see the damage.
